St. George is once again becoming an outdoor theatre this summer.  St. George City and KCSG TV are sponsoring Sunset on the Square at the St. George Town Square Park, off of Main Street, again this year.  This has been a tradition in St. George for 10 years now.  The movies are projected on the big screen, under the stars, at dusk every 2nd and 4th Friday throughout the entire summer.

You may have missed some of the movies this summer, but you are just in time to pack a blanket, bring some treats and enjoy a movie under the stars.

Movies on Fridays:

  •          June 23 – Storks (87 minutes)
  •          July 14 – Little Rascals (83 minutes)
  •          July 28 – Trolls (92 minutes)
  •          August 11 – Jungle Book (105 minutes)
  •          August 25 – Sing (110 minutes)

* All of the movies being shown are rated PG.

On each of the movie nights there will other things going on in the park, such as games, food, face painting, dancing and more.  There is live entertainment and prizes are given away right before the movie begins.

St. George News shared that in conjunction with Sunset on the Square, “excitement is roaring through the community in anticipation of the United Way Dixie season kickoff of the crowd favorite ‘Ball Drop for Charity Prize Giveaway’.”  United Way Dixie and Cherry Creek Media’s Ball Drop for Charity event will be giving away several prizes, including $500 in cash (Chartway Federal Credit Union), an Apple IPad, a three-month family pass to the Washington City Community Center and a car (Premier Car & Truck).

Ball entries cost $5 or you can purchase five entries for $20.

The movies draw large crowds, so get there early and claim your space for Sunset on the Square!

Live life to the fullest with no regrets!
