Calling all theater fans in Southern Utah! St. George Musical Theatre’s 2023 season has an amazing lineup with shows you will not want to miss. In an intimate and comfortable theater space with an electric atmosphere, you can soak in the magic of the theater with SGMT. Check out their show line up for this year!

Catch me if you can 

The next musical that will be showing in the SGMT theater is Catch Me If You Can. It's a show based on the real life story of Frank Abagnale and how he used genius deception to become a doctor, lawyer, and co-pilot all before the age of 18. As one of the most successful bank robbers, he runs away from the FBI and recreates his identity numerous times. The extravagant dancing and singing tells the story in a way nothing else can. This musical will take you to greater heights and will leave you thoroughly entertained all night long. Don’t miss your chance to catch this show! It runs March 23rd to April 29th.

The Pirates of Penzance

This old tale is of Frederic, a junior pirate, who plans to leave the Pirate King to win the heart of  a striking girl, Mabel. Frederic hopes to be with her after his 21st birthday, but soon finds out his birthday is on the day of leap year. He hopes to find a way to win her affection as long as he can get around his biggest obstacle: Mabel’s father. If you’re looking for a night of comedy and music you’ll have to watch this show filled with passionate pirates, inept policemen, and foolish lovers. Get tickets to see the Pirates of Penzance from May 18th - June 17th.

Footloose

Everybody cut footloose and come see this popular classic musical this summer. This high energy experience of music and dance is a must-see. The cast of SGMT will bring this story to life like never before. Follow along with Ren McCormack, a teenage boy from Chicago, as he makes a difference in his new small town and brings the joy of dance back to life. Kick off your Sunday shoes and look forward to a lively and frenetic summer night at the theater. Footloose will run July 14th - August 26th.

42nd street

One of the Broadway favorites, 42nd Street, is the story of the talented Peggy Sawyer who dreams of starring on Broadway. Watch her story unfold as she goes from rags to riches and achieves her show business dreams. This musical is full of show-stopping tap numbers, famous tunes, and eye-catching ensemble numbers. This SGMT production is for all the musical theater lovers and anyone who loves a show with pizazz and heart! 42nd Street runs from September 14th - October 21st.

She Loves Me

Last, but not least, this season at SGMT, you can watch the rapturous romantic comedy, She Loves Me. This musical is full of stunning music and entertaining scenes. The show is about Amalia and Georg who are co-workers at a Hungarian parfumerie. They’ve never liked each other, but as they each write love letters to a mysterious pen pal, the audience soon can see their feelings for eachother. Watch the show to find out how these two enemies realize that they’re madly in love. Put this show on your calendar and go to see it from November 16th - December 16th this year.
