Exciting News in St. George: Part 1

Did you know that St. George, Utah is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S? It’s constantly expanding with new updates and additions. There are some exciting new restaurants and eateries that are coming to town. Check out the list!

Pica Rica BBQ

Pica Rica BBQ opens April 20, 2023! It is located Downtown where 25 Main was on Main St. This restaurant combines the delicious tastes of American and Mexican barbeque. Here you can taste the savory and smoky flavors of brisket, ribs, pork and more. This dynamic Americanana barbeque spot should hopefully be open sometime in the next month!

Food Truck Park

If you’re a fan of food trucks you’re in luck because the Bluff St. food truck park is getting 2 new trucks this April. Try Little Lud's Lemonade and Shaved Ice or a new taco truck. You can also enjoy the other established trucks there as well!

Mariscos Ensenada

Mariscos Ensenada is a new restaurant coming to the Red Lion Hotel which is where Green Iguana used to be! It’s a tasty Mexican and seafood joint and it’s a must have. Signs are up and should be open soon. 

Straptank Brewery

A brand new brewery restaurant from Northern Utah, Straptank Brewery, is in the works. The menu offers a variety of cuisine including barbeque, sandwiches, salads, pizza, mexican food and more. Ground construction is moving and should go vertical soon. It will be located off exit 5 in front of the Hyatt, right behind the Dixie Center. 

Switchpoint Coffee Co. 

Switchpoint Coffee Co. has their newest project in the works! They are opening a roastery that will sell bags of coffee along with drip coffee and pastries from Farmstead and Find Your Fit bakeries. Buying coffee here can help lower poverty and help support Switchpoint Community Resource Center. More cups of coffee = less homelessness in Utah. It will be located next to their thrift store at 214 N. 1000 E. 

Nick The Greek

A new Mediterranean eatery, Nick The Greek, is now open! Here you can enjoy your favorite Greek foods: gyros, kabobs, pita, and salads. You can find this delicious spot in Red Rock Commons at 15 S. River Rd. next to Cafe Rio.

Slice House

Slice House is replacing Roy’s Pizza in the Shoppes at Zion! This pizza company not only offers flavorful pizza, but it offers pasta and subs as well. It is said to open soon, so be ready to get some delicious italian.

Alfredo A’s

Alfredo A's, an authentic Mexican restaurant, is now open! You can enjoy classic Mexican dishes made with fresh ingredients. This restaurant is located at 2091 E. Riverside Dr. next to Bahama Bucks.

Powerhouse STG

An exciting new addition to St. George is Powerhouse STG which is now open. They have organic smoothies, protein shakes, coffee, and more. They’re located at 3392 S. 3000 E. in Little Valley at Crimson Corner.

Chubby’s 

Chubby's, a restaurant with mouthwatering homegrown American food, has announced that they are coming to St. George. They have delicious southern barbeque on the menu as well as sweet peach cobbler and brownie sundaes. It is not confirmed when and where they are located, but be on the lookout for more info on this delicious restaurant.
