I have been driving by the Dixie State University Stadium for several months now to see how the renovation of the new stadium is going.  Yesterday Dixie State University Athletics announced that the second renovation phase of the Legend Solar Stadium complex will begin later this month.  The university received a $10 million donation from Legend Solar in the spring of 2016, to renovate the stadium.   The track and field looks beautiful.  They were painting the seats in the stadium this morning.

The second phase of construction includes adding an east grandstand that will have 5,000 seats along with lockers rooms, restrooms and concession stands.  The stadium will remain closed to all general public access until it is completed due to safety standards.  The stadium will be open for football and soccer and all home athletics events throughout the 2017 fall season.

Phase 1 of the stadium renovation was completed a few weeks ago.  Phase 1 included the installation of new state-of-the-art track and field surfaces.  The first renovation was completed in time for Dixie State University to host the St. George 4th of July Celebration and Concert and the annual Pioneer Day Celebration on July 24th.

I am anxious to see the stadium when it is finally completed.  I look forward to attending sporting events at the stadium.  I also look forward to walking around the fine new track and hiking up the stadium stairs, with many other St. George residents who work out at the facility.

Live life to the fullest with no regrets!
