Sand Hollow Resort Information
Officially open as of 2008, Sand Hollow Resort in Southern Utah has earned excellent reviews from the start including the No. 6 spot on Golf Magazine’s Best New Courses list for that year.
Sand Hollow features three separate courses: the par 72, 7319-yard championship course, 9-hole par 36 St. Andrews style links course, and an 18-hole, greens-only putting course.
Designed by 1977 U.S. Amateur Champion and former PGA Tour winner John Fought, Sand Hollow is expertly perched atop rolling red rock ridges that jut out of a red sand sea. The ridge top elevation provides uninterrupted views of southern Utah’s most famous natural wonders and the course itself is extremely well manicured with aesthetic highlights from hard edges and desert scaping.
“Sand Hollow rivals the best courses in the state,” said sales director Darrel Stephens. “This is a public course and is designed to challenge good players. There are thoughtful risk/reward challenges to every shot,” Stephens said. “Combine that with the rock cliffs and spectacular views throughout and you’re in for a great round.”
