Snow Canyon State Park is located directly south of the area. This scenic park offers trails that are perfect for hiking and climbing, as well as horseback riding amid the dunes and sandstone cliffs.
Sand Hollow State Park, which encompasses the Sand Hollow Reservoir, is one of the largest and most popular state parks in Utah. Here, huge sand dunes drift down to crystal-clear water, forming a beach. The park offers all kinds of recreational opportunities - boating and sailing are very popular, while many people come just to lounge on the big beach. Camping is also available for booking in the park.
Dammeron Valley is also home to the highly-rated Bold and Delaney Winery. This is a scenic, peaceful vineyard where you can partake in some wine tasting, snack on a cheese & fruit plate, and even take a bottle to go home to enjoy later.
If you’re into golf, The Ledges of St. George Golf Course is just south of Winchester Hills and a breathtaking place to play 18 holes. There are many other high-quality golf courses around the greater St. George area. For those into art and performing, the nearby Tuacahn Center For the Arts regularly features plays and concerts in an amphitheater with canyon views. There are also smaller indoor theaters. The St. George Art Museum houses historical photos and works by regional artists. The city is also home to a children’s museum.
