La Verkin real estate features a nice selection of homes that range in price points, in neighborhoods with varying lotsizes. Because of La Verkin's close proximity to Hurricane, this city is often considered a great alternative for prospective homebuyers.
The city is not large by any means, and as of 2021 sits at around 4,500 people. Despite this, there are some ongoing developments, and many of the higher-priced homes in this area are new construction builds. Designed in modern styles, one of the main selling feature of these properties (other than the luxury upgrades!) is the beautiful views of the mountains beyond.
Bungalows are the most common home type for sale in La Verkin, but occasionally you'll come across a multi-story home. As a result, there is quite a bit of choice, and single-family homes here tend to have had stunning, contemporary renovations regardless of price point.
La Verkin is located in the southwest corner of Utah, sitting at an elevation of 3,266 feet. It is less than 30 miles from St George, and is positioned in what is referred to as the "Grand Circle." This area includes Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, and Lake Powell, to name just a few.
As a result, there are a multitude of outdoor recreation opportunities, and many travel great distances to experience what this area has to offer. Zion National Park has a number of landmarks and outlook points, which makes this a must-see for avid hikers and nature photographers.
But you don't always have to go far to experience the great outdoors! La Verkin has two separate trails for residents and visitors to explore: the Confluence Park Trail in the west, and the La Verkin Overlook Trail in the east. The latter, as its name suggests, leads to the La Verkin Overlook, which is a great destination to view the sunsets.
There are also small community parks within the city. La Verkin Park and Power Plant Park are just two.
Although there are shops and restaurants within the city of La Verkin, Hurricane is just a walk away, located just across the Virgin River. Here, you'll find even more shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities
