Discover Washington City Real Estate

While the original settlers of this rugged land endured much hardship, today's Washington City is a peaceful family community with two beautiful golf courses and easy access to the Quail Creek Reservoir and the magnificent Zion National Park.

Situated just four miles from St. George in southwest Utah, Washington City real estate is home to some 17,000 residents. This historic city was the first settlement of the Cotton Mission, and the first town to be built on the Virgin River. Now, it is a thriving city that has seen a lot of population growth over the past few years, as its eccentric mix of rural and urban make this city an excellent choice for a variety of lifestyles. From growing families to laid-back retirees, there's so much to discover in Washington City.

Washington City, UT Homes & Amenities

Washington City real estate offers a diverse selection of properties, ranging from attractive entry-level homes to elegant million dollar estates. Washington City homes are currently selling for an average price of $290,681.  Because more and more are moving to the Washington area, there is a high demand for homes in this beautiful city. However, luckily, there is an abundance of choice, including new construction homes for sale in up-and-coming neighborhoods.

In fact, when it comes to properties in Washington City, the majority are single-family homes, as well as townhomes. Detached homes are particularly sought-after (especially for families) for their ample square footage and quiet, residential streets. Architecturally, there is also a lot of choice, with many homes leaning into the Spanish/Mediterranean style or the Cottage/Craftsman/Traditional designs. Stucco and stone are popular exterior building materials, and (in new construction properties in particular) ample square footage is a common feature.

In regards to interiors, bright, modern finishes are typically found in Washington City homes, as well as either tile or hardwood flooring. Properties also often feature large backyards for entertaining guests, with either an extended roof/enclosed space (or the possibility of adding one) to protect from the sun.

Modern, new construction townhomes are also popping up all over the city, with some popular options being those at Desert Ridge (in the downtown) and Long Valley (in the southeast end).

HOA fees vary from property to property, but are relatively low. Communities with higher HOA fees offer more services to their residents, and these amenities can include a clubhouse, neighborhood outdoor maintenance, resident-only pools, additional privacy and security via gated entry, and more.

Luxury Homes in Washington City, UT

While Washington City is recognized for its more affordable properties, the city is also the perfect place to search for luxury homes. These beautiful properties have some of the best mountain views around, and can be located in private, gated communities.

Luxury homes are also typically available in similar architectural styles as other single-family homes: either the beautiful Mediterranean or the traditional Cottage styles. Luxury neighborhoods such as Northbridge (located near the golf course) and Westgate Hills generally fall under the former architectural style, while new construction properties in neighborhoods such as Franklin Fields and Iron Horse can often lean towards the latter. Custom homes are the epitome of luxury, and there are options on the market for this type of property, as well. Fireplaces, backyard pools, additional garage or storage spaces, and upgrades appliances are just a few of the popular features of Washington City luxury homes.
